Kolkata Metro Purple Line: Joka-Taratala Section Opens for Passenger Service

The 6.5 km Joka to Taratala section of the Purple Line opened for revenue service today, adding 6 new stations to Kolkata metro network. Full extension to Esplanade expected by 2027.
